DAILY LOG | Day 1 of Millions More

I’m starting this daily log with the hope that it would help reanimate my dead love for creative writing. This will be a traditional diary where I just dump my thoughts and recollections on this digital space.

Hope this would also cure my inability to commit to anything long-term.

I’m turning 40 in two months. I realized I have not written anything that is truly for me only. Everything was performative brought on by the need to appear intact and productive.

So now, I’m writing for me.

I’m writing this while listening to Kabayan Noli de Castro’s voice playing on YouTube as he discusses an unfortunate family’s experiences in a haunted house on Kababalaghan 7: Pagkagat ng Dilim, an ABS-CBN News Halloween Special 2025. Listening to content like this – true crime, scary real life stories, history documentaries – is part of my creative process. Maybe tomorrow I’ll listen to Jessica Soho’s videos.

Hopefully, Kabayan and Jessica’s flying team would help me commit to this. If this won’t work, too, then I’m doomed. My writing career is doomed.
